Co. H 25th Wis In. Civil War. Hiram enlisted two days late r than his brother Edwin in the same company, also for thr ee years. Hiram served as clerk in the provost marshall' s office in Columbus, Ky from March 1863 to April 1865. I n Sept of 1863 he was granted a ten day furlough permittin g him to go to Memphis "to see a sick brother in the hospit al there." He was mustered out Aug 12, 1865
