He went to war - 1812. Indians shot holes in boat and he t ook his shirt off to stop the leaks. Took cold and died i n Coitsville, Ohio. Capt Baldwin's Co. Aug 23 - Sept 16 , 1812, aattached to Capt Warren Bissel's Co Sept 17, 1812.

Malcomb went to the War of 1812 in a boat. Indians shot holes in the boat. He took his shirt off to stop leaks in the boat. He took cold and died.

2. Miscellaneous. Per Catherine McFall Morris' obituary, "She was the daughter of Malcolm and Barbara McFall. Her father served in the war of 1812, came home on furlough and took sick and died on the day his furlough expired."
