1. Miscellaneous: Born in a log cabin.

2. Obituary: Platteville Journal, 18 Jan 1968. Mrs. Eunice (Elwood) McFall, Platteville, died Wednesday, January 10th, 1968 at the Hazel Green Hospital following a short illness. She had been in poor health for several years. Mrs. McFall was born January 8th, 1891 in rural Platteville, the daughter of Jacob and Margaret (Reich) Gollmer. She was married in Darlington to Elwood McFall on June 15, 1910 and lived on the ancesteral McFall farm west of Platteville until 14 years ago when they retired to Platteville. Mr. McFall passed away May 31st, 1964. To this union were born eight children, three daughters and five sons; Dale of Rewey; Gladys Brown, Shullsburg; Lyle, Potosi; Dorothy Zart, Minneapolis, Minn; George, Rockford, Ill; Margaret Sigurdson, Powell, Wyoming; Robert, Platteville; Douglas, Carmi, Ill. Mrs. McFall was a devoted Christian, a member of the Whig Methodist Church and the WSCS there. She taught the Women's Class in Sunday School for many years and held other offices. One of her joys was her part in the Boscobel-Platteville Camp of the Gideons, International. She took pleasure in the Grant County Historical Society and was a dedicated member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. Surviving besides her children are thirty eight grand-children and twenty great grand-children, 2 sisters; Mrs. Olive Olson, Darlington; Mrs. Margaret Polkinghorn, Mineral Point; 1 brother, Walter Gollmer, Lena, Ill, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held from the Whig Methodist Church on Friday, January 12, 1968 with the Rev. Howard Lindsay and Rev. Ralph Park officiating. Internment was made in the Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville.

(George Elwood McFall was born on 3 Apr 1881 in Liberty Township, Grant County, WI, died on 31 May 1964 in Platteville, WI and was buried in Platteville, WI, Greenwood Cemetery.). The cause of his death was medullary paralysis/acute myocardial insufficiency and arteriosclerosis (general).
