1. Obituary: Fennimore Times, Fennimore, WI. Mrs. Nellie Bendorf, 78, a lifelong area resident, died on Friday, Jan. 7 in a Lancastser nursing home after a long illness.

The former Nellie Wieland was a member of the Lancaster Presbyterian Curch, wherrre funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon. Memorials to the church are suggested b the family.

Her husband, lewis, died in 1944. Survivingn are severn sons, Ldon of Fennimore, Leslie of Platteville, Lyle of Cobb, William of Lancaster, Calvin and Virgil of Stitzer, and Walter of Sturtevant; three daughters, Mrs. Henry Oechsle of Stitzer, Mrs. Robert McFall of Platteville, and Mrs. Charles Kirkpatrick of Waunona Lake, Indiana; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Turner of Lancaster, Mrs. Florence-Koehler and Mrs. Nettie Anderson of Madison; a brother Reuben Wieland of Mt. Ida; 42 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

Nellie married Lewis William Bendorf, son of John Joseph Bendorf and Alvina M Koeller, on 19 Oct 1911 in Lancaster, WI. (Lewis William Bendorf was born on 13 Apr 1887 in Potosi, WI, died on 4 Apr 1944 in Lancaster, WI and was buried on 7 Apr 1944 in Lancaster, WI, Hillside Cemetery.). The cause of his death was Chronic nephritis & myocarditis.
