1. Obituary. Lowell M. "Laz'rus" Bendorf, Born July 21, 1941, in Lancaster, Wisconsin, died August 7, 2015 in Colorado Springs. Son of Leslie and Eleanor Bendorf of Plattevilleo. He was brother to Paul (Nancy) Bendorf and Beth Marcia (Marcy) Schwenn. Husband of Pennysue Beery, father of Kimberly, Cynthia, Michael, Christopher all of Wisconsin, Eliana Elizabeth, and Eden Rose of Colorado Springs. He had eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Lowell was a funeral director, apprenticed in Platteville and Beloit, WI, and eventually co-owned two funeral homes. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He was active in Rotary International, Gideon's International, Youth for Christ, and volunteered his time at the Harbor for the Homeless in Beloit. LOWELL M. "Laz'rus" BENDORF formerly of Beloit Wisconsin died Friday August 7, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Age 74. He was born July 21, 1941 in Lancaster, WI to Leslie & Eleanor (Quincy) Bendorf. After graduating High School in Lancaster Wisconsin, Lowell went on to attend Mortuary School at the University of Minnesota. Upon Graduation he accepted a position at Rosman, Uehling, and Kinzer Funeral Home. He went on to be a partner in the firm until his retirement in 1993. It was this man's life works to help people go through the loss of their family member. As a former owner of Rosman Uehling Kinzer Funeral Home, he touched and affected many people. Now we mourn the loss of him. He was strong in his faith and belief of God and did a lot with and for the church family. He was also very active with community services in the Beloit area. He was active in Rotary International, Gideon's International, Youth for Christ, and volunteered his time at the Harbor for the Homeless in Beloit. He served several short-term missions at home and abroad. He is LOVED and will be truly MISSED by many.

Services to be held at Trinity Nazarene, 5055 El Camino Dr, Colorado Springs, CO on Thursday, August 13th at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at a later date.
